Awakening
On demystifying the forbidden.

Yesterday I loved a viper, Stunning and deadly as can be. I basked in its lethal gaze, Thanking it for its venom even as my eyes wept blood and my body shut down. Today, I know the mundane. That ordinary self. Here be predators. Fanged beasts. Let wild things be wild things. And to the Old world viper, Thank you for your venom.
